"We love because He first loved us."—1 John 4:19
With You, Jesus, there is no “have to.”
There is only want to.
Only longing.
Only love that leans in.
Your love is never forced.
It never barters.
It never demands.
And yet, it holds me.
Not like a chain—but like a shelter.
Like arms that surroundand never let go.
You draw me in gently,
not with rules,
but with rhythm.
With breath.
With grace.
Every boundary You trace is a whisper:
Come back to Me.
Every “no” is a gentle hand over mine,
guiding me back to where
Your heartbeat is loudest against my ear.
Where I remember who I am—
who I’ve always been in Your eyes.
Before I was ever born,
You dreamed me into being.
Not just in the womb,
but in the stillness of Your will—
fashioned not for performance,
but for belonging.
For You.
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” —Jeremiah 31:3
This is the Covenant.
A vow of blood and mercy.
Between You and me.
Between You and all of us.
Not etched in stone,
but written softly
on the fragile walls of my heart.
You don’t just tell me how to love—
You show me.
By kneeling low.
By lifting burdens that were never Yours.
By staying near when others scatter.
By weeping where I’ve wept.
By washing feet no one else would touch.
And now…I follow.
Not because I’m afraid to lose You—
but because I’m in love.
Even my obedience feels like a song.
Not a rule, but a rhythm.
A way to say,“I see You. I love You too.”
A poem written slowly
with the ink of everyday moments.
A quiet echo of that first vow: “I will never leave you.”
“Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.”
—1 Corinthians 13:7–8
This is the kind of love that mirrors heaven.
Not because I am flawless,
but because You are faithful.
Holy.
Holy.
Holy.
“Greater love has no one than this:to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”—John 15:13
And so now—
Love does not ask,
“What do I get?”
But only,
“How can I love You better?”
